Saudi Women to Work in Justice Ministry

In a new development in Saudi Arabia, women will be able to work for the Ministry of Justice. Saudi women who hold post-graduate degrees in Sharia, law, sociology and administration specialisations will be hired as social researchers, religious researchers, legal researcher and administrative assistants, Waleed Bin Mohammad Al Samaan, the justice minister, said. Responsibilities to be undertaken by the new employees will be within the women’s sections in courts and notary public offices.Saudi Arabia’s ambitious Vision 2030 plan to modernise the kingdom includes the empowerment of women and the materialisation of their potential.
